Women and the Regiment – Military Life of the Victorian Wife  21 May  – 29th August 2022

The Kincaid Gallery, The Royal Green Jackets (Rifles) Museum.

This temporary exhibition focusses on the experiences of the wives of soldiers serving in the army during the 1800’s and features items relating to Lady Georgiana Campbell, Frances Maria FitzMaurice, Constance Edith Emma Collins and Barbara FitzHenry.

The beetle wing dress on display has been loaned by the West Highland Museum in Fort William and the Museum is most grateful to Vanessa Martin, the Curator for assisting with the loan.
