Did you or a member of your family serve in the Forces? Have you thought of writing a memoir? If so, this event can help you to get started.

Whether you served in the Forces yourself, spent time in a military family or would like to know more about relatives who did, this event offers an afternoon on the value of memoir-writing for military personnel and their families. Run by Reading Force, a charity which seeks to connect military families through books, you’ll recieve:

· First hand testimony from a range of experts, authors, and military veterans

· Information on how to start writing

· Guidance on how to store and preserve your material for the future

· Details of how to prepare information for a publisher, if that’s what you want to do

The price of the event is £20, which includes all handouts and notes from the day, refreshments, and a free copy of an ebook on how to write a family memoir, and free admission to the Royal Green Jackets (Rifles) Museum for the morning before the event.
