Major Ron Cassidy MBE 1933 – 2023
Major Ron Cassidy joined The Rifle Brigade in 1951 and was Regimental Sergeant Major of The Rifle Depot and 3rd Battalion, The Royal Green Jackets from 1968-71. He was then commissioned, retiring from the Army in 1983, subsequently filling a number of administrative appointments at The Rifle Depot and at Regimental Headquarters in Winchester. Major Cassidy was Curator of the Museum from 1989 – 98 and a great supporter in later life. We will miss him greatly.
