Summer activities at The RGJ (Rifles) Museum

The Royal Green Jackets (Rifles) Museum will be hosting a ‘pop up museum’ visit from The Army Flying Museum.

On Wednesday 14th August and Wednesday 21st August visitors of all ages can take part in free activities including –

  • dressing up
  • handling artefacts

  • making D Day Rupert dummy parachutes
  • opportunity to speak to a member of staff about the Army Flying Museum

The activities will take place outside the front of The Royal Green Jackets (Rifles) Museum, weather permitting. Otherwise the ‘pop up museum’ will be located in The Kincaid Gallery, inside the Museum and adults accompanying their children for these activities will have free access to The Royal Green Jackets (Rifles) Museum.

If you are unable to visit on the two days above,  not to worry.  There will be children’s crafts, colouring activities plus trails available at the Museum and other Winchester Military Museums  throughout the school holidays .
