Wheelchairs The museum displays are situated on two floors. A wheelchair and stair lift is available for visitors use. Please note: The stair lift is currently out of action (15 September, 2017). We hope to have this issued sorted as soon as possible. Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Wheelchair-accessible toilet and baby changing facilities are located on the ground floor.
There is limited free car parking on site for visitors to Winchester’s Military Museums only. Please follow the signs and/or ask the Museum staff for advice on where to park. An alternative is to use Park and Ride alighting at the Westgate stop.
Guide and Assistance Dogs
Guide and Assistance Dogs are welcome at the Museum. If you need further assistance please speak to a member of staff. We do have hearing impairment Induction loops at the Front Desk and various locations throughout the displays.
The shop is located near the museum entrance with a selection of souvenirs and gifts, including books, branded t-shirts, caps, key-fobs and mugs. Visit our online shop.
For coffee, a light lunch or afternoon tea, Copper Joe’s Café can be found next door at the Guardroom Museum located on the right as you enter Peninsula Barracks. Open from 10am until 4pm (closed on Monday’s).
